lately, in the garden



The Labrynth, which has turned into a two year work in progress...Will eventually have gluten free grains, and many more veggies planted here. There is a 10'x20' garden in the back end of the property where all our medicinal herbs will be planted in the fall/next spring.

My first harvest of St. John's Wort








About once a week, sometimes more, we go for a walk through our favorite trails, that lead to a huge berry loaded trail. Full of Salmon berries (which we have picked pleanty of and there is still many more to pick), thimbleberries, black berries (these are not ripe yet) and two huge cherry trees that are ALMOST ready. (however I don't think bringing a ladder down the trail is going to work out too well...) I also found a huge patch of comfrey, that I will be harvesting soon to add to some things I will be preparing shortly, like salves and lotions. (teas and tinctures soon too!)
